Your performance and health depend on your ability to recover quickly

While there is definitely virtue in working, there's equal virtue in resting and pausing

Regularly.

Don't wait for the end of the day to pause.

Don't wait for the weekend to relax.

Don't wait for the holidays to rest.

I challenge you to take 3-5 min breaks throughout the day (every hour if possible) and:

  • Breathe in and out deeply

  • Stretch your entire body

  • Drink water

  • Relax your jaw

  • Close your eyes

  • Get some fresh air

  • Splash your face with water

  • Go for a walk

The point is to stop working and thinking about work, to take care of yourself, be in the present moment and let go of external distractions for a few minutes.

If needed, use a timer or any kind of reminder to create the habit.

Remember, your performance & health depend on your ability to recover quickly !

How often do you pause to rest?
